About
This health Facility was founded by Magdaline Wairimu Thiga and Family, who is a Kenyan registered nurse working in a slum in Kware village of Ong’ata Rongai, Kajiado North District in Rift Valley County. In April 1983, the whole family moved from Nairobi and settled in Ong’ata Rongai neighbouring Kware village slums. When the community discovered that Magdaline was a nurse, and working in Kenyatta National Hospital with a passion of helping, they started coming for health advice and consultations. She had to make occasional night trips back to Kenyatta national hospital to take the sick for treatment.
This inspired her to start a small clinic where she could attend the community members on cases of minor illnesses and refer the complicated cases to Kenyatta National hospital . The services would be offered at a small affordable fee. This went a long way to aid in buying drugs and renting a room. As time went by, the number of those patients who needed help increased, she decided to stop working for the Government at Kenyatta National Hospital and hence went into full time community service for the sick through the clinic.
